Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Star Eater handles information when you play on iPhone, iPad, or Android. Contact us at sikorntean@gmail.com.

What the game stores

Star Eater keeps your game progress, settings, and an age group choice on your device. If you are 13 or older, the app may create an anonymous Firebase account and save a copy of your progress in Google Cloud Firestore. You can link that account to Apple Sign In on iOS or Google Sign In on Android. The sign-in provider may share an account identifier and, depending on your choices, your name or email address with Firebase Authentication. Firebase also processes technical information such as IP address and device or browser information to operate and secure sign-in.

Online play

If you join an online match, our real-time game server receives your Firebase sign-in token, player identifier, chosen display name, character choice, match actions, and connection information such as IP address. Other players in your match see a temporary game alias, your character, and gameplay actions; your chosen display name is not shown to them. We use this information to arrange and run matches and to prevent misuse. Online play is unavailable for the under-13 age group.

Rewarded ads and choices

Players aged 13 or older can choose to watch a rewarded ad for an in-game benefit. The game does not show banner or interstitial ads. Google AdMob and its consent service may process information such as IP address, device identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic information to provide ads, measure them, and prevent fraud. We request non-personalized ads and use a general-audience content rating. Where required, a consent form appears before an ad request. You can revisit available ad privacy choices in the game's Settings. Watching an ad is optional. The under-13 age group does not receive ad requests.

Diagnostics

The app includes Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics libraries, but their automatic data collection is currently disabled. We may update this policy and provide relevant choices before enabling additional collection.

Why we use information

Sharing and retention

We use Google Firebase for authentication and cloud saves, Google AdMob for optional rewarded ads, Apple or Google for linked sign-in, and a hosting provider for online matches. These providers process information to supply their services. Cloud progress remains until you delete your account or ask us to remove it; local progress remains until you delete it in the app or remove the app. Providers may retain limited technical records according to their own policies. We do not sell your game progress.

Your choices and deletion

You can play the core game without online matches or rewarded ads. In Account → Delete account, you can remove the game's cloud save, linked game account, and local game data. You can change ad privacy choices in Settings when available. If you cannot access the game, email sikorntean@gmail.com to request access or deletion; we may need information to verify that the account is yours.

Children

Players who choose “Under 13” can play the core game with progress on their device. The app does not request cloud sign-in, online matches, or rewarded ads for that age group. A parent or guardian can contact us about a child's information.

Security and international processing

We use access controls for cloud saves and encrypted connections to service providers. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Firebase Authentication and other providers may process information in countries outside your own, including the United States.

Changes

We may update this policy when the game or its services change. The date at the top shows the latest version. For questions, contact sikorntean@gmail.com.
